Rich in tyramine, flavonoids, and tannins, it contracts blood vessels and uterine muscle, reducing or stopping abnormal bleeding with remarkable effectiveness. How to Use
Steep 1–2 tsp dried shepherd’s purse in 250ml hot water for 5–10 mins. Drink 2–3 cups daily during heavy bleeding. Mild, slightly bitter, grassy flavour. For topical haemostasis: apply a cooled strong infusion directly to wounds. Best used acutely during heavy bleeding episodes — not recommended for long-term daily use.
