Nettle Root (Urtica Dioica rad.)
The prostate and hormone root — BPH, testosterone binding, and joint inflammation targeted by the root of Britain's most versatile wild plant.
Nettle root (Urtica dioica rad.) has a completely different therapeutic profile from the leaf — where the leaf is a nutritional and anti-allergic tonic, the root acts specifically on sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) and the prostate gland. Rich in lectins, polysaccharides, and sterols, nettle root reduces SHBG binding of testosterone (potentially increasing free testosterone), inhibits prostate cell proliferation, and reduces urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is also a potent anti-inflammatory for joint conditions.
