The mountain berry tonic — antioxidant, digestive, and urinary support from the vivid red berries of Britain's mountain ash.

Rowan berries (Sorbus aucuparia) are the bright red-orange clusters that adorn Britain’s mountain ash through autumn — a traditional food and medicine across Northern European, Celtic, and Scandinavian cultures. Rich in vitamin C, carotenoids, parasorbic acid (converted to benign sorbic acid on drying or cooking), and antioxidant flavonoids, dried rowan berries offer astringent, diuretic, and antioxidant properties, long used for urinary tract support, digestive toning, and immune fortification through the winter months.

Key Benefits
Antioxidant & vitamin C · Urinary tract support · Digestive astringent · Immune fortification · Anti-inflammatory · Traditional winter tonic

How to Use
Simmer 1–2 tsp dried rowan berries in 250ml water for 10–15 mins. Drink 1–2 cups daily. Tart, astringent, slightly bitter berry flavour — add honey to balance. Excellent combined with rosehips or hawthorn berries for an antioxidant winter berry blend. Do not consume raw berries — always use dried or cooked.

When to Expect Results
Antioxidant & immune support: ongoing with daily use · Urinary & digestive toning: 1–2 weeks · Winter immune fortification: 4–6 weeks of consistent use.
