Wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium)
The supreme bitter — parasites, digestive fire, liver stimulation, and fever from the most bitter plant in the world and the original ingredient of absinthe.
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is the bitterest substance in the plant kingdom — its absinthin so intensely bitter it can be tasted at dilutions of 1 in 70,000 — and one of the most powerful digestive, antiparasitic, and liver-stimulating herbs in European herbalism. Rich in sesquiterpene lactones (absinthin, artabsin), thujone, and flavonoids, wormwood stimulates bile production, kills intestinal parasites (including roundworm and pinworm), reduces fever, and acts as a profound digestive bitter. It is the primary herb in traditional antiparasitic protocols and remains one of the most medicinally potent plants available. Low-dose, short-cycle use only.
Key Benefits
Intestinal parasites · Digestive bitters & appetite · Liver & bile stimulation · Fever reduction · Anti-inflammatory · Antimicrobial
How to Use
Low dose only: Steep ½ tsp dried wormwood in 250ml hot water for 3–5 mins maximum. Drink a small cup (100–150ml) before meals. Intensely bitter — do not sweeten; the therapeutic action is in the bitterness itself. Use in cycles: 2–3 weeks on, 1–2 weeks off. Often combined with black walnut hull and cloves in antiparasitic protocols.
